Don’t Take Pictures is pleased to announce the results of our online exhibition Lumens. Forty-five photographs made in the lumen process were selected and will be on view through November 20. Visit the exhibitions page to view the entire exhibition.
Known for luminous and ethereal aesthetic, lumen photography is a camera-less process in which objects are placed on top of unexposed black-and-white photographic paper and exposing to UV light. The images produce different colors depending on the paper’s age, material, and manufacturer, to create a one-of-a-kind photographic object. For this exhibition, Don’t Take Pictures presents contemporary photographs in the lumen process.
Don’t Take Pictures holds free, quarterly calls for work for online exhibitions.
