Don’t Take Pictures is pleased to announce the results of our online exhibition City Life. 50 photographs by photographers navigating through cities were selected and will be on view through February 24. Visit the gallery to view the entire exhibition.
The fast pace of city life can lead to missed moments and unobserved surroundings. The collision of cultures and compression of people is both exciting and overwhelming. Photographers are inherently interested in exploring their surroundings. Armed with cameras they find elements of nature creeping through the concrete amongst the imposing architecture. They sift through the hustle and bustle, ready to record the lives unfolding before them.
The photographers in this exhibition represent city natives, transplants, and tourists. They provide unique perspectives on the architecture, transit, and people who make these thriving metropolises dynamic and fascinating. Photographers from all over the globe submitted work for this exhibition, and we are pleased to showcase this diverse collection of cities and their inhabitants.
Don’t Take Pictures holds free, quarterly calls for work for online exhibitions.
