Resources for Artists and Art-Lovers

Hello Readers!

Summer is over and the fall exhibition season is just beginning. As a way to spotlight more artists and institutions, we are excited to announce a new Resources section at Don’t Take Pictures Online. Under “Resources” the navigation bar, you will find Exhibition Listings and Artist Opportunities.

For the past few years we have published exhibition reviews online, and while we unfortunately cannot attend every show, we have instead created a place where you can find some great photography exhibitions on view throughout different regions in the United States.

Listings are updated every other month and will also be highlighted in our newsletter. We look forward to adding to this page over the coming months and we value your input so we are giving commercial galleries, non-profits, community centers, university galleries, museums, and pop-up shows free listings for shows running through December 2016. To submit an exhibition listing, contact us with “Exhibition Listing” in the subject line.

The Artist Opportunities page offers regularly updated opportunities for artists, curators, writers, and members of the photo community. Listings can be sorted into categories including awards, exhibitions, grants, calls for papers, fellowships, and residencies. All listings are organized by deadline. If you have an opportunity that helps to fund, promote, make, or exhibit photography, please contact us with “Opportunities” in the subject line.

We are excited to make these resources available to you, and appreciate your help to share these resources with the photo community. Please consider “liking” us on Facebook, following us on Twitter and Instagram, and sharing these pages with your friends and colleagues.
