Exhibition Opportunity: Masks
Don’t Take Pictures exists to showcase the work of emerging photographers. In addition to publishing photographers in print, and online in our monthly columns, we also publish online quarterly exhibitions.
Literally or figuratively, everyone has worn a mask at one time or another. Masks offer anonymity, or alter the wearer’s persona, transforming them into someone else. Rich with historical, religious, and cultural significance, masks can be complex works of art or as simple as a paper bag. For this online exhibition, Don’t Take Pictures seeks photographs that incorporate the varied uses of masks theatrical, practical, or humorous.
The exhibition will be published online from November 23 — February 21.
