Roots and Branches

We look to trees as symbols of places and ideas; be it a Japanese bonsai tree, the redwoods of California, or tropical palms. We plant trees in memoriam for those who have passed for their strength and longevity. Trees embody the fortitude of nature as well as the forest primeval. From twisted roots that push through concrete sidewalks, to manicured branches in yards and city parks, to overgrown woodlands, Don’t Take Pictures presents photographs of trees both wild and tame, and our interactions with them.

This exhibition was featured from November 25, 2015 to February 23, 2016. See our other previous exhibitions as well.
